Actor & Dancer
Hi - and thank you for being here!
I’m originally from Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, a small town just south of Pittsburgh, where I began dancing at the age of five. For 13 years, I trained competitively in tap, jazz, and ballet, developing a strong foundation in discipline, precision, and storytelling through movement - skills that continue to inform my work as an actor.
My passion for performance has always been clear. When it came time for college, I set out to find a place where I could pursue that passion seriously. I found it in Wilmington, North Carolina, during a time when the film industry was thriving. While earning my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Operations Management) from UNO Wilmington, I remained closely connected to the world of film and performance. After all, there’s a reason it’s called show business.
When North Carolina’s film incentives were cut and productions began relocating, I made the decision to follow the work to Georgia - where I am now based and continuing to build my career.
I continue to train, constantly expanding my toolkit and exploring a range of techniques, with a particular affinity for the Meisner approach. I bring a strong work ethic, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit to every project.
I’m always looking for opportunities to contribute to meaningful, compelling stories - and I look forward to working together someday!
If you’d like to know a little more about me beyond the industry - here’s a collection of the wonderfully random things that make me, me:
I’m the daughter of Ed and Renee Janco, and the proud owner of a “tiger” (tabby cat, but let’s not split hairs) named Raja - yes, after Jasmine’s tiger in Aladdin.
Although I grew up in Pennsylvania, my heart will always belong to a small beach town along the Carolina coast.
I have an intense love for family, friends, and all things Disney. I strongly dislike lima beans, being cold, carnations, and entitlement. As Victoria Beckham once said, "I can't understand when people get cocky; there is always somebody else waiting in the wings." She also happens to be my favorite celebrity - if you have to ask why, you may have missed the Spice Girls era.
I collect movies, books, pins, and vinyl records. My favorite books are The Great Gatsby, the A Court of Thorns and Roses series, and the Harry Potter series (still waiting on that Hogwarts acceptance letter). My favorite actors include Robert DeNiro, Margot Robbie, Cillian Murphy, and Julia Roberts - but honestly, we could talk about this all day.
If I could live in any decade, it would be the 1920's. I love daisies, pizza (almost all food really - except lima beans), and chocolate covered strawberries. “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” by Frankie Valli is my all-time favorite song. My favorite show will always be Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
I hope you didn’t make it this far to find out my favorite movie. That’s way too much pressure.
I love to laugh. I’m fascinated by mermaids and motorcycles. If you don't think going to the movies exciting, we may not have the same definition of fun - I will absolutely be ordering a kid’s pack every time (perfect portions, obviously).
I’m spontaneous, love to travel, and have a soft spot for Edinburgh and London. I try to avoid shopping (for my own financial well-being), hate bugs - especially spiders - and firmly believe clowns are not amusing.
My biggest fear is a life unlived. I welcome advice (whether I take it is another story). I love baseball. Halloween is my favorite holiday, an yes - dressing as Jasmine still brings me joy.
I do, actually, enjoy long walks on the beach and bonfires. I love meeting new people and hearing new stories.
If you’ve made it this far - thank you. Truly. Your support means more than I can put into words.
Smiles, Sam
